RTP REACHES RECORD-BREAKING AUDIENCES
SP Entertainment and RTP took up the challenge and produced the event that made history in portuguese television, giving RTP a record-breaking tv audience in ten years.
Salvador Sobral´s victory at 2017 Eurovision song contest brought the honour of hosting the world’s biggest entertainment show to Portugal for the very first time.
The event was seen by over 186 million viewers in over 40 countries. With more than 1000 workers, the production team made the success of the show and got the EBU´s compliments for organizing the best Eurovision ever.
Live from Altice Arena and hosted by Catarina Furtado, Sílvia Alberto, Filomena Cautela and Daniela Ruah, there were two semifinals (May 8th and 10th) and the Grand Final (May 12th).
Israel´s Netta was crowned the winner of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, under the slogan "All Aboard”.
